Contractor Builds More Efficient Communication with MyFax: Internet fax service delivers faster, more reliable communication for Florida-based company

Three years ago Craig Baranowski left a successful career in the software industry to start his own construction company in Northwest Florida, CJB Construction. Coming from a fast-paced, email-dominated industry, Baranowski quickly learned that much of the construction trade still relies heavily on faxes. Since contractors and subcontractors generally spend more than 90% of their time on the jobsite rather than at the central office, this dated use of fax machines surprised the tech-savvy entrepreneur. It wasn't long until Baranowski began searching for a reliable and efficient service that would provide the technology that would allow CJB to increase productivity.

OTTAWA (BusinessWire EON) July 19, 2007 -- Three years ago Craig Baranowski left a successful career in the software industry to start his own construction company in Northwest Florida, CJB Construction. It wasnt long until Baranowski began searching for a reliable and efficient service that would provide the technology that would allow CJB to increase productivity.

I probably save a couple of hours a day by being able to send and receive faxes in real time from wherever I am rather than having to drive back to the office
Baranowski came across MyFax, an Internet fax service that allows users to both send and receive faxes via email or securely online. After signing on with MyFax, Baranowski immediately saw a difference in his day-to-day contacts.

I have a Blackjack PDA, so I set up my MyFax account to forward all my faxes to it, Baranowski says. Now they arrive in my hand within seconds of when theyre sent. I can also carry them with me wherever I go in case I need to refer to them later. Basically, Im able to stay in touch with my subs and vendors which makes it easier to keep jobs running more efficiently.

In addition to the PDA, Baranowski often has a laptop with him that he also uses to review as well as send faxes. By connecting MyFax to Microsoft® Contact Manager, he is able to respond to faxes through his e-mail account and store all of his faxes by customer, which makes it easy to find the information he needs. He reports that with the preview snapshot included in each email, he can scan through 60 faxes in roughly two minutes.

For Baranowski the primary result isnt financial its about saving time. I probably save a couple of hours a day by being able to send and receive faxes in real time from wherever I am rather than having to drive back to the office, he says. Thats time I can devote to making sure the jobs run smoothly. When you look at the time lag involved in contacting people and resending when a fax fails or gets lost I probably add a weeks worth of efficiency to each month. Who wouldnt like that?

By incorporating MyFaxs Internet faxing service to CJB Construction, Baranowski has experienced more reliable messages, shorter turnaround times, appreciable cost savings, fewer hassles, and stronger communication between himself and his subs and suppliers. MyFax has made a huge difference in my daily workflow, he says. It has really made the entire world my office.
