New suite of web applications brings creation to the social level, emphasizing collaborative design and the sharing of artwork.

San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) June 4, 2007 -- San Luis Obispo-based BIG Images is announcing the delicious:suite, an online suite of creativity tools. This new design suite emphasizes social sharing of artwork through its innovative viewer technology and Second Life integration.

Creativity shouldn't be limited to those who can afford thousand-dollar design suites, nor should a design application only run on computers with the latest processors.
This new suite of creative software includes a designer for creating art, a viewer for sharing the artwork on blogs and web sites, and features specific to Second Life. The suite is entirely web based allowing for true cross-platform compatibility. Users have access to their artwork from any computer connected to the Internet. This allows for a level of collaboration and freedom that hasn't been seen before in design applications.

In his personal blog, co-founder Jon Beebe says, "BIG Images is leading the way in bringing large format printing to the household level. The delicious:designer is our first product towards this end."

"As far as I know," says Ken Pettit, co-founder of the delicious:suite, "this is the first time a print shop has developed its own Web 2.0 applications to extend its market. Also, this is the first time a Web 2.0 application has launched with services exclusively for Second Life residents.

"We've built a way for common people to design and create art," says Pettit. "Creativity shouldn't be limited to those who can afford thousand-dollar design suites, nor should a design application only run on computers with the latest processors."

Anyone hooked up to the web has access to the design software; uploading pictures, creating shapes, dragging and dropping images, choosing colors, and inserting text: all available by simply typing in a web address. The intuitive interface means anyone familiar with surfing the web will find the delicious:designer easy to use.

The enhanced Second Life features allow users to sign up and access the service, manage their account, and display their designs, all in-world.

More information on the delicious:suite can be found at delicioussuite.com.
