Online Resource TheCareerProject.org is Now Free!

TheCareerProject.org is a new career research tool that allows people to learn the intimate details about thousands of jobs from the people who work them.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 24, 2007 -- Attention job seekers, TheCareerProject.org is now available for use... for free! Launched only six weeks ago, the newest and freshest career resource on the web has garnered praise from universities, educational publications, and career organizations for providing users the unique ability to learn about thousands of different careers directly from the people who work them. Every mentor was asked to complete a profile that includes an hour-by-hour account of a typical workday, as well as a thoroughly answered career questionnaire. And as always, users of the site can directly and anonymously ask any of the profilers a question.

"The site will still maintain its original format; a sort of online version of take your child to work day--but multiplied by a few thousand coworkers who are always on hand to answer any questions you might have," says Alicia Schwartz, CEO and founder of TheCareerProject.org. "The only change will be that the profiles are now available for free use."

As a former career counselor, Schwartz developed the site specifically for students, but after the tremendous initial response to her unique questionnaire, she realized that this was truly a resource for people of all ages and in all phases of their career development.

"The direct emailing and question feature will still require a paid registration," says Schwartz. "It'll help to regulate the vast amounts of email that our mentors receive without overwhelming them, and that preserves the site's integrity; its honesty. And really, that' s why people are visiting the CareerProject.org. We are the first online resource that provides an uncensored look at real careers. TheCareerProject gives an honest perspective so job seekers can learn and understand what it means to have a particular position and what they need to do in order to obtain a similar one."
