ACH Direct, Inc. will be providing check verification and e-check services for the City of Chicago. This new venture will help improve payment processing for in-person payments as well as the City's many alternative payment options including Chicago EZ Pay Stations and web payments.

Allen, TX (PRWEB) December 4, 2008 -- ACH Direct, Inc., a leading technology provider of Automated Clearing House (ACH), electronic check, credit card processing and debit card transaction processing and risk management services, announced today it will be providing check verification and e-check services for the City of Chicago. This new venture will help improve the payment processing for in-person payments, as well as the City's many alternative payment options including Chicago EZ Pay Stations, web payments for business taxes, licenses, and parking tickets, and telephone payments for water bills.

"ACH Direct is committed to searching for new ways to help the City of Chicago enhance their payment processing operations," says Leslie Hendrix, ACH Direct VP of Business Development. With the Chicago Department of Revenue reporting a significant increase in alternative payment types, and varying payment amounts, the City is extremely excited to take advantage of the new ability to accept web payments over $25,000.

The partnership with ACH Direct also includes ATMVerify (www.atmverify.com), one of the most powerful prevention tools against bad checks on the market. With two distinct levels of verification, the City can combat bad checks related to point-of-sale, bill pay, online, or telephone payments. "Considering bad checks not only affect city revenue flow, but also pose customer relations issues, ATMVerify is an invaluable added benefit to the City of Chicago's payment processing needs," says Ms. Hendrix.

About ACH Direct: ACH Direct is one of the fastest-growing privately held electronic funds transfer processors in the United States. ACH Direct's customers benefit from a comprehensive suite of payments products and services, including ACH origination, check verification, identity verification, credit card and debit card processing.
