Enterprises are increasingly using web applications for business management. They offer contextual, efficient information exchange and realise the enormous potential of cloud computing as a viable business tool. ClaimAble, a brand new claims management solution, delivers a rich user experience by leveraging Adobe AIR, bringing on-demand, flexible productivity tools to the claims handling market.

London, UK (PRWEB) July 25, 2008 -- Vaulthouse, a startup web software company, has launched its flagship product aimed at companies that deal with insurance claims. ClaimAble is an innovative claims management solution based on the Adobe AIR framework, enabling a desktop-like experience to be delivered over the web.

We have focused heavily on the user experience. If staff are going to use this every day as a tool for work, they need to trust and understand the system. We are proud of how intuitive and simple the user interface is, and we have found that no, or very little training is required
AIR is a cross-platform runtime environment from Adobe that provides a method of deploying rich internet applications to the desktop, and lets them run like native applications that interact with the local operating system.

"There is a lack of web applications for enterprises that really exploit Adobe AIR", says Miles Tinsley, managing director at Vaulthouse. "It is a powerful tool that has enabled us to deliver a lightweight, robust application straight to the desktop. The technology means that users can access the system from a web browser, or as an application running directly on their computer."

There is an emerging acceptance from companies that they need to embrace new web technologies to maintain a competitive advantage. Enterprise 2.0, the umbrella term for the latest web applications aimed at businesses, has huge potential to increase productivity, reduce overheads and free users from outdated legacy systems. Miles adds: "So many companies use antiquated systems. Not only does this reduce the efficiency of information flow, but staff have to work much harder, sometimes across several parallel systems, to achieve a result that could be automated by a flexible, dynamic system."

By storing information in "the Cloud", an industry term for the internet as storage medium and application platform, ClaimAble allows users to access the collective knowledge of multiple contributors. Clients and suppliers can also benefit from the transparent data pool, with access to the right information at the right time. The data is secure and accessible.

Miles explains how Enterprise 2.0 concepts and Adobe AIR technology has allowed for the development of innovative features in ClaimAble. "We have focused heavily on the user experience. If staff are going to use this every day as a tool for work, they need to trust and understand the system. We are proud of how intuitive and simple the user interface is, and we have found that no, or very little training is required". A primary concern for insurers is performance and meeting targets. "ClaimAble was built from the ground up to provide useful reports and management information. There is rich pool of data behind the scenes, and the system does a really good job of providing simple but powerful tools to access it." This is a sentiment intrinsic to the web-based nature of the product, which is inherently collaborative and promotes efficient information exchange.

ClaimAble is a new product from Vaulthouse Ltd, a London based web software company who create innovative and functional productivity tools for business and consumers.
