CVS/pharmacy is relaunching the site in an effort to better serve its customers who are looking for more ways to take control of their well-being. Upon registration, customers have access to their full CVS/pharmacy prescription history. Key features of the new CVS.com site allow customers to:
- View and print their prescription history
- Order refills directly from a prescription history
- Choose or change a pickup location
- Receive reminders when it's time to refill a prescription
- Request a prescription renewal
- Be alerted to generic alternatives
- Transfer prescriptions from another pharmacy
Better medication management can lead to better health outcomes for patients. Research shows that as many as 50% of those with chronic disease stop taking their medication within the first year. By offering tools for patients to more easily manage their prescriptions online, CVS/pharmacy is hoping to increase the number of on-time medication refills and help promote cost-saving generic alternatives.
