Digital signage has come a long way in the past ten years, but a major bottleneck impedes its progress: Technology has surpassed content. AutoComm has set out to even the score, and revolutionize the industry with a unique offering of free content design services for their customers who purchase digital signage solutions.
We've learned that the largest roadblock to success with digital signage is content creation. Most of our target companies don't have the resources to produce content in-house so they either have to hire staff or purchase content. In either case, this recurring expense causes clients to stop pursuing digital signage. We're simply removing the roadblock.

Appleton, WI (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- Digital signage has come a long way in the past ten years, but a major bottleneck impedes its progress: Technology has surpassed content. AutoComm has set out to even the score, and revolutionize the industry with a unique offering of FREE content design services for their customers who purchase digital signage solutions.

"This is a major strategic business shift for us," said Duane Weber, president of AutoComm. "We've learned that the largest roadblock to success with digital signage is content creation. Most of our target companies don't have the resources to produce content in-house so they either have to hire staff or purchase content. In either case, this recurring expense causes clients to stop pursuing digital signage. We're simply removing the roadblock."

Point of purchase advertising via LCD monitors (commonly referred to as digital signage) is very different than TV or web-based advertising. Creating effective point of purchase content requires a unique perspective and expertise. Because of this, AutoComm has always offered content creation as part of a turnkey signage solution. But until now, that content was accompanied by a fee. Free content design is unheard of in this industry.

"In fact," says Weber, "it's counterintuitive. Our salaried graphic designer is producing content for free." But Weber believes this business model will open new doors and create new opportunities for AutoComm, a company named as one of INC. Magazine's fastest growing in 2003.

Launched in 1998, AutoComm focuses on providing digital-signage solutions to retail, industrial and corporate communication markets utilizing LED, LCD and Plasma technology. Based in Appleton, WI, the company's extensive client roster includes Lands' End, Appleton Papers, Harley Davidson, Marcus Theaters and more.
