Drexel University Online, a pioneer in distance education, has increased its degree offerings with the launch of the Master of Science in Arts Administration.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- Drexel University Online, a pioneer in distance education, has increased its degree offerings with the launch of the Master of Science in Arts Administration. This unique degree combines a multidisciplinary approach to arts management that incorporates commerce, research and technology in the arts.

The M.S. in Arts Administration is one of the only arts management degrees in the U.S. offered completely online, and maintains the same high-quality instruction as the on-campus program. The degree allows students to obtain high-level management positions within arts and cultural organizations. Students will learn management theory and practice, as well as policy development, marketing, and fundraising for non-profit organizations. This unique online degree will give students the skills needed to succeed in the growing profession of arts and culture administration.

Offering the program online will enable us to serve a wider, more diverse audience and to appeal to professionals who may not be able to leave their current positions to pursue a needed graduate degree.
Students can complete the coursework in two years while continuing to work in their chosen profession. Students will also have the opportunity to customize their program of study through electives based on their individual career goals. Drexel University's Arts Administration program is highly regarded in the industry, and is a part of the Association of Arts Administration Educators and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

"Our Master's Degree in Arts Administration has long been regarded as one of the premier academic programs of its kind in the country," says Cecelia Fitzgibbon, program director. "Offering the program online will enable us to serve a wider, more diverse audience and to appeal to professionals who may not be able to leave their current positions to pursue a needed graduate degree."

"We're very proud to offer our students the outstanding Drexel curriculum within this convenient online format," said Dr. Kenneth Hartman, academic director at Drexel University Online. "All of our online programs including the Master's in Arts Administration are taught by the same renowned faculty as our campus courses."

Applications for Drexel's online Master's in Arts Administration are now being accepted for the fall term. For more information about this online program, visit Drexel's online degree website, e-mail info @ drexel.com or call (877) 215-0009.
