New site allows eBay users to leave more detailed feedback and aims to rebalance the e-commerce playing field.
(PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- eBuyer-Feedback is a free service, launched earlier this year, that allows eBay sellers to leave honest (positive, neutral, or negative) feedback for each of their buyers. Every feedback comment is checked with eBay's public records to ensure that only sellers who have actually participated in a transaction with the buyer can leave feedback. The system also allows buyers to leave a public response to each comment left about them on the site.
On January 29th, eBay announced that sellers would no longer be able to leave negative or neutral feedback for their buyers. Only positive feedback would be allowed, ''at the seller's option.'' This new policy will leave sellers vulnerable to new scams, extortion and unpaid items, with no way to defend themselves or warn other sellers. Thus, eBuyer-Feedback.com was created by a longtime PowerSeller.
eBuyer-Feedback seeks to become the new standard for leaving buyer feedback on eBay. eBuyer-Feedback launched on February 18th and is currently running an open beta on its feedback system. This system is one that every eBay user will find familiar.
An added feature to eBuyer Feedback's system is the Detailed Buyer Ratings also known as DBRs™. This allows the seller to rate the buyer on how quickly payment was sent, communication and reading of the details/terms of the auction. If there were any problems with the transaction the seller can also rate the buyer on how they allowed the seller to handle the situation.
To encourage sellers to leave comments, eBuyer-Feedback plans to host a contest on the site, from May 19 - June 18. A grand prize of $250 will be awarded to the seller that leaves the most positive comments on the site (randomly selected in case of a tie), $150 to a randomly selected seller who has left at least one positive feedback comment on the site, and $50 to the buyer that has received the most positive feedback on the site.
In addition to the contest, eBuyer-Feedback allows sellers to sign up for free advertisements of their online auctions.
