Epiphany Inc. announces that it has built two new vertical applications for pharmaceutical distributors and value-added resellers within NetSuite leveraging the NetSuite Business Operating System (NS-BOS).

Cypress, TX (PRWEB) March 6, 2008 -- Epiphany Inc., a Solution Provider and a BOS Developer Program partner of NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), a leading vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites that include Accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Ecommerce software for small and midsized businesses and divisions of large companies, today announced that it has built two new vertical applications for pharmaceutical distributors and value-added resellers within NetSuite leveraging the NetSuite Business Operating System (NS-BOS). Today's additions bring the total to four industries targeted by Epiphany since the company launched dNet for low voltage contractors and FloorNet for commercial floor cleaning companies at NetSuite's annual partner conference in 2007. Powering the creation and easy, repeatable distribution of these vertical solutions is NS-BOS.

"The vision for NS-BOS is to allow developers, ISVs and solution providers to build their unique vertical-specific knowledge and services into NetSuite and deploy it in a repeatable manner to customers in that industry," said Mini Peiris, VP of Product Management of NetSuite Inc. "We are extremely pleased to see Epiphany leverage NetSuite to effectively realize the vision behind NS-BOS to address the unique needs of four distinct industries."

We're very excited about PedigreeNet for this reason. Epiphany's experience with both NetSuite and with business processes has been invaluable.
"The NetSuite Business Operating System opens a whole new avenue for my business," said Brenda Brinkley, CEO of Epiphany Inc. "With NS-BOS we are able to create vertical solutions for businesses that we have built best practices in, and we are also able to deliver these vertical solutions to our customers in an easy repeatable fashion without error prone, manual recreation on a per customer basis. In addition to the four vertical solutions announced today, we have many more to come - the possibilities are limitless NetSuite."

The two vertical solutions launched today by Epiphany that will be delivered via NS-BOS include:

PedigreeNet - Pharmaceutical distributors using Epiphany's PedigreeNet, a verticalized version of NetSuite, can now track the origin of drugs and add their information to the pedigree when the drug is sold from their location. Tracking pedigrees is a federally mandated requirement for pharmaceutical distributors.

"Tracking the drug pedigree from receipt of the products through shipment to our customers is critical to our business," said Seth Grumet, President, Matrix Distributors (www.matrixdistributors.com), a distributor of pharmaceuticals based in East Brunswick, N.J. "We're very excited about PedigreeNet for this reason. Epiphany's experience with both NetSuite and with business processes has been invaluable."

VarNet - Value-added resellers (VARs) for large high-tech vendors such as Hewlett-Packard have unique needs to manage. For example, quotes are generated by the manufacturer and that information needs to be easily integrated into NetSuite to operate efficiently. Also, VARs need to track the manufacturer's pipeline, as per their specifications. VarNet allows VARs to manage both of these requirements.

"VarNet complements NetSuite and provides us with the pieces we need to run our business more efficiently. The quote import component of VarNet - is a great time saver, allowing us to import the buy and sell prices on the quote, together with the product line information. What before, took each salesperson 30 to 45 minutes to enter, now takes five minutes," said Bill Smith, president of TSA (www.tsa.com), a Hewlett-Packard reseller based in Houston. "And the process of gathering the information for the sales forecast report required by HP and our distributor, which used to take a couple days, is now available at our fingertips because of the capabilities of NetSuite and VarNet!"
