Web innovator Gogofrog.com comes out charging in the race towards the Internet's future; a future that most analysts now agree will see an Internet dominated by 3D technologies, social spaces and economies within the next decade.
When we heard that John Hanke (Google Earth), Robert Scoble (Microsoft Technical Evangelist) and Joi Ito (Blogger and CEO Neoteny) together with a 'who is who' of IT thought leaders, got together at a Summit with the specific purpose of discussing pathways to a 3D Web, that was an unbelievably strong endorsement for the R&D outcomes we had set for our commercial launch and beyond.

Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) October 9, 2006 -- With their recent commercial launch, Web innovator Gogofrog Pty Ltd has cemented its place as both a serious player in the race towards the Internet's future; a future that attendees and organizers of the Metaverse Roadmap Summit believe will see an Internet dominated by 3D technologies, social spaces and economies within the next decade.

According to Gogofrog CEO Vincent Teubler, news in May this year of the inaugural Metaverse Roadmap Summit justified the company's uncompromising drive toward delivering 3D Internet applications. "When we heard that John Hanke (Google Earth), Robert Scoble (Microsoft Technical Evangelist) and Joi Ito (Blogger and CEO Neoteny) together with a 'who is who' of IT thought leaders, got together at a Summit with the specific purpose of discussing pathways to a 3D Web, that was an unbelievably strong endorsement for the R&D outcomes we had set for our commercial launch and beyond."

12 months ago Gogofrog launched an early Beta version that enabled users to build fully functional 3D web sites all connected to and hosted by Gogofrog. Incorporating the feedback of thousands of subsequent global Beta users, Gogofrog has now launched powerful new 3D Web functionality that uniquely allows all visitors to Gogofrog websites being able to both 'see' and communicate with fellow site visitors from around the world. Teubler says, "Anyone who visits Gogofrog immediately begins to see the Internet's future... where networking, commerce, communication, media management and distribution and information storage and retrieval will firmly be in the 3D domain."

Creative Director at Gogofrog, Lorenzo Lorefice, is pleased at his team having achieved a significant milestone in making the 3D Internet an everyday reality. "Already our 3D web offers everyday web users functionality that simply isn't possible in 2D. For example, through Gogofrog you can actually see a client visiting your on-line showroom and chat to them about their needs and your products. You can put your family from around the world in a room together, chat and share photos of the new baby... or direct the kids to a chat-room that you can control... because you can 'see' who is chatting to them. And all that is accessible today and very real."

In pre-launch development now, is visitors being able to access videos, images, music, whole libraries of information and even VOIP access as they might otherwise in the real world at school, home, a library or a business.

According to Teubler the company is now commencing a quest to find the right partner who will allow them to massively compress their software development roadmap and bring many of the functions of the 3D web of the future to everyone on the Internet a great deal sooner. Teubler says, "We have such exciting times ahead with this. We are looking to tap into the momentum behind the 3D Internet push and identify potential partners who can help us achieve the vision a lot faster."
