Primus Australia Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Ravi Bhatia said, "This major investment will provide us with the platform to offer our customers with "gold-plated" super fast video and audio streaming, IPTV, VOIP and other Broadband services. This will be Primus' next generation platform."

Most of Primus' DSLAM exchanges across Australia will be connected with transmission using Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM). Each site will be readily upgradeable to speeds as high as 10 Gigabits per second dedicated per site.
This major upgrade will be focussed initially on Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and then progressively rolled-out to other centres.
