David A. Noyes & Company Launches Greatest Financial Innovation Vote and Sweepstakes on New Website

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

(Vocus/PRWeb) April 23, 2008 -- The financial industry has seen many significant changes in the last 100 years and David A. Noyes & Company, a full-service investment firm founded in 1908, has been around to see them. As part of the launch of their completely new interactive website, the firm is seeking your vote for the greatest innovation in the investment and financial industry in the last century.

"With the presidential election coming up, we thought we’d have our own historic vote. It’s also a great way to get our clients and friends involved in our 100th anniversary celebration," says Mario Bernardi, Senior Vice President. "Best of all, you get a free sweepstakes entry for a $100 gift card."

It’s an interesting vote from a historical perspective
Visitors to the site that place their vote and submit their email address will automatically be entered into a year-end drawing for one of three $100 American Express gift certificates. There is no purchase obligation.

A voting page is accessible from the firm’s new home page at www.danoyes.com, which includes a list of major financial and investment innovations in the last 100 years, such as:

  • Mutual Funds
  • 401Ks and IRAs
  • Electronic trading
  • Online trading
  • Options
  • Trading curbs
  • Several more 'candidates'

In addition, site visitors can place their 'write-in candidate' vote for innovations not listed. Financial innovations that pre-date 1908, such as the Dow Jones, are not included in the vote. Real-time results can also be accessed from the site and are immediately displayed after voting.

"It’s an interesting vote from a historical perspective," says Paul E. Murin, President and CEO. "As a firm, we are very proud of our 100 year history, and we’ve certainly seen our share of changes in the investment world during that time. It’s not scientific, but certainly a way to get people involved in an important discussion."

The firm’s new website also features a streaming video from L.H. Bayley, Chairman and Financial Advisor for over 50 years, an interactive 100-year history timeline, and a Resource Center that includes a variety of free educational article and links to help plan your finances and build wealth. A News page also features the latest on the firm’s continuing 'Year of Service' campaign benefiting children’s hospitals in the Chicagoland and Indianapolis areas.
