Our dedication and ongoing commitment to provide the best training, support, and consulting services has been and will continue to be our competitive advantage. We’re excited about the future and will continue to dedicate our resources to the further commercial advancement of these powerful solutions either directly or through our authorized dealer network.
"This latest series of GNSS reference station and structural monitoring advancements further solidifies our leadership position in the industry,” says Gerard Manley, vice president of engineered solutions for Leica Geosystems. “Our dedication and ongoing commitment to provide the best training, support, and consulting services has been and will continue to be our competitive advantage. We’re excited about the future and will continue to dedicate our resources to the further commercial advancement of these powerful solutions either directly or through our authorized dealer network.”

The new line of new reference station and structural monitoring capabilities include:

  • Geotechnical options – The Leica GeoMoS Version 4.0 advanced multipurpose automatic deformation monitoring software now features the ability to gather, store and analyze data recorded by Campbell® Scientific datalogger geotechnical devices, such as sensors and gauges, along with data gathered by geodetic instruments, such as GPS or total stations, into a single database. These sensors allow observations below the surface of the ground and directly on or inside structures with very high accuracy.

  • Expanded Web Access – The new Leica SpiderWeb version 2.2 GNSS Internet network distribution solution makes presenting GNSS station or network data for public or internal access via standard web browsers much easier for both service users and service providers. Users can apply full network correction information to create Virtual RINEX observation files for individual rover locations using Leica GNSS Spider real-time network processing archives. Additionally, this version includes advanced services and add-ons for GNSS network web services such as the availability of a centralized automatic coordinate computing service. The smooth integrated interface with Leica GNSS QC quality control software provides permanent up-to-date status and quality information for each station. Those looking for an affordable start-up solution for GNSS data web services similar to SpiderWeb also have the option of the new Leica SpiderWeb ‘Lite’ entry level web service application.

  • Quality Control/Analysis – The latest release of Leica GNSS QC V2.0 offers greater GNSS quality control and data analysis, including real time analysis of residual ionospheric and tropospheric/geometric error across an RTK network. Leica GNSS QC V2.0 also contains many improvements for reference station integrity monitoring, quality control of GNSS data and analysis of GNSS monitoring results. Support for global navigation files, Hatanaka and Z compression enable the automatic RINEX quality check function to be used with a broader range of GNSS reference networks.

  • Extended Support – The Leica GNSS Spider V3.0, the Leica Geosystems solution for GNSS Infrastructure and Network RTK, incorporates comprehensive GPS and GLONASS Network RTK services with future-proof capabilities to capture GNSS signals, such as GPS L5 and Galileo. Additionally, the new ‘Spider Business Center’ supports exciting new features for advanced users and service management. With all its improvements, this new GNSS Spider V3.0 significantly enhances the software usability and performance.

To-date, Leica Geosystems has consulted and participated in the design, development and deployment of more than 67 CORS networks worldwide including those for the Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Oklahoma and Texas DOTs, Lane County, Oregon, Ford Engineering in Texas, Eastside Reservoir project. The 4,500-acre Eastside Reservoir project in Riverside, California, the largest dam project in the United States, is completely managed in real time by the reference stations, as is the world’s longest cable-stayed concrete bridge, Florida’s Sunshine Skyway. The Minnesota DOT relied on a fully automated, on-site geodetic monitoring system to manage train track shifts and ground settling during a highway underpass reconstruction project over the course of two years.

The full range of Leica Geosystems GNSS references station and structural monitoring solutions, such as those listed above, along with expert training, support, and consulting services plays a critical role in construction and survey projects across the country. The innovation in this type technology is rapidly advancing. We want to ensure the critical processes required being effective in the usage and future changes in these products are properly communicated. Only specific authorized Leica Geosystems dealers approved by Leica Geosystems, Inc. or Leica Geosystems Inc. directly are authorized to sell, support, train, consult and provide warranty service on any Leica Geosystems Inc. product or consulting services.
