Miami Beach real estate specialist, Kevin Tomlinson, is one of the first real estate agents in the country to incorporate Google's Street View technology directly into a Web site.
Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) April 2, 2008 -- First it was photos, then it was virtual tours. Now one Web site gives its visitors the ability to jump in a virtual car and take a drive down the streets of Miami Beach from the comfort of their desktop or laptop computer.
Kevin Tomlinson, real estate agent with Coral Gables-based Esslinger Wooten Maxwell Realtors, Inc., recently took advantage of Google's new Street View API which allows Web site visitors to feel as though they are driving around the streets of Miami Beach with 3D panoramas. The technology, once only on Google's Map site, was publicly released on March 27th to Web Developers.
Tomlinson's Webmaster then rolled out the technology on KevinTomlinson.com just 48 hours later. "Given the obvious benefit to real estate consumers, we had been keeping a close eye on this technology" said Brad Carroll, owner of Dakno Real Estate Marketing. "I called Kevin the day that the feature was made public and informed him that we had already started implementing Street View on his Web site."
Kevin Tomlinson, who is known for continually being among the first to adopt new technology, was elated with the addition to his Web site. "This valuable tool allows both local and international real estate buyers to gain a unique perspective of the area without the time commitment of spending hours driving around town." stated Tomlinson. "While I don't think people are ready to purchase real estate based solely on a virtual drive down the street, I do think it provides today's buyer with one more tool to make an informed buying decision."
The new Street View feature is available on Tomlinson's Miami Beach Condo Map page or by selecting a condo building from the home page.
