SwitchMonitor v3.4 Released with Dynamic Network Map, allowing users to track computer network usage in real time
The implementation of a dynamic network map has been long desired by many network monitoring professionals

Santa Clara, Calif. (PRWEB) April 2, 2008 -- Today, PathSolutions releases SwitchMonitor v3.4 with a dynamically updating network monitoring map. This network map gives IT administrators the ability to understand their entire network’s current utilization, from a single viewpoint.

"The implementation of a dynamic network map has been long desired by many network monitoring professionals," said CTO Tim Titus. "We employed the best available web technology to deliver the capability to monitor network usage in a solid offering. We strived to make sure that this network monitoring technology was available without requiring browser downloads or strange security settings. That way, it will work on FireFox or IE natively, and present network performance information in a practical and easy to understand format."

SwitchMonitor is a complete network monitoring solution. It monitors the performance of every WAN and LAN interface on the network and offers detailed information relating to transmit and receive rates, errors, broadcast levels, and remediation suggestions.

Improving the quality and throughput on all interfaces in the network permits data to flow faster, and insures that critical services like VoIP are not impacted by a poorly performing network.

SwitchMonitor installs on Windows 2000 Workstation or Server, Windows XP, and Windows 2003 Server. As a design methodology to minimize support and licensing requirements, a webserver and self-maintaining database are built into the product.

All current PathSolutions customers covered by a support contract will be able to upgrade to this new version for free.

Customers responsible for their corporation’s network performance and interested in seeing a demo of this network monitoring technology can visit www.PathSolutions.com.
