Initiative will decrease cycle time of material approvals to improve “Customer Satisfaction” with Supplier Partners.

Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) August 9, 2006 -- Newview Technologies Inc., the leading provider of direct materials management solutions today announced that Honda Trading America, Honda Motor Company’s trading arm that manages the import, export and distribution of raw materials, parts and machinery, has selected Newview’s Coordinated Network Procurement (CNP) solution as its Materials Specification Application (MSA). Through the use of Newview’s solution, Honda Trading will enhance its ability to provide its suppliers easy access to mission-critical information.

Honda Trading’s business has significantly increased due to the tremendous growth in Honda’s manufacturing business as well as an increase in new products and engineering improvements. Their MSA initiative will leverage Newview’s CNP to address the scale and complexity of the business with a set of functionality designed to model and manage complex material environments.

Innovative market leaders such as Honda Trading understand the importance of creating an environment for direct materials compliance for a growing business facing rising market prices and supply constraints for base materials
“As Honda’s manufacturing has grown in North America, the need to efficiently and effectively manage the large number of parts in our Raw Material Supply System has become a top priority,” said Greg Norval, Assistant Vice President. “We seek to improve the way we collaborate with our supply partners; our strategy with Newview is to promote an environment whereby we can share the most current information, real time.”

Newview’s CNP will provide a streamlined collaborative and multi-tier approval process that improves “customer satisfaction” to Honda manufacturing facilities and supply partners. The solution will reduce specification approval cycle times and provide easy access to material information to everyone in the logistical chain. Process latency is removed and quality is improved with rapid communication of new materials, material modifications, as well as a reduction of risk of non-compliant materials being introduced to the supply chain.

"Innovative market leaders such as Honda Trading understand the importance of creating an environment for direct materials compliance for a growing business facing rising market prices and supply constraints for base materials,” said Scott Prince, Newview President and CEO. "Newview is the leader in enabling companies to deploy ‘best-in-class’ multi-tier direct materials solutions to address complex material environments."
