PC/104+ frame grabber from Sensoray performs MPEG 4/2/1 compression as well as MJPEG while still providing uncompressed video.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) January 24, 2007 -- Sensoray announces their newest PC/104+ frame grabber, the Model 314. The 314 frame grabber is a low-cost MPEG 1/2/4 and MJPEG frame grabber that captures full-frame (720 x 480) video at 30 frames per second.
MPEG and MJPEG data reduces the amount of memory required to store full motion video. The compressed data requires a smaller transmission bandwidth. Image compression makes it possible to capture full-frame (720 x 480) MPEG video at 30 frames/sec over the PC/104+ bus. The hardware compression circuit uses a motion estimation algorithm to produce smooth images from interlaced cameras. The 314 frame grabber uses the newest 9-bit digitizer technology plus an adaptive multi-line comb filter to produce higher quality images than those using BT878 technology.
Uncompressed video is available through the PC/104+ bus for previewing. It has two synchronized audio input channels and on screen display of text (OSD). The 314 also performs motion detection in three user programmable regions of interest. Bitrates range from 800kb/second to 10 mb/second. Linux, QNX and Windows drivers are supplied and a Fast Windows stream player is available.
