Poker for Mac Users: Polls, Bans, and Future

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Leaders in the Mac poker market continues to thrive and political issues could lead to a drop in new software programs which allow online poker for Mac users. These hot topics in the Mac poker niche area are being tossed around for the future of Mac poker.

(PRWEB) August 17, 2006 -- One of the sites which have been addressing compatibility issues and allowing online poker for Mac users is Pacific Poker at www.MacPacificpoker.com.

Pacific Poker is one of the original poker rooms to fully develop a Java poker program for Mac users which was free and allowed real money games. Pacific Poker also announced early in development that they would extend their 25% $100 instant cash bonus to Mac poker users.

There have been other additions to the Mac poker market which www.CompatiblePoker.com tracks very carefully.

The hot topic as of late is about native Mac sites. Many Mac users only know of 1 or 2 sites that use download form. In reality CompatiblePoker.com expressed there are dozens. The down side to this is these poker rooms have such low traffic nobody plays at them. In the debate towards the end of this press release potential reasons for big sites not becoming Mac compatible are suggested.

Pacific Poker which is listed in Google’s top 5 most searched poker rooms satisfies poker for Mac users who do not care about having a download version. The download type Mac poker rooms will offer some advantages but each type has their downfalls.

CompatiblePoker.com will release two more press releases regarding the latest additions to their Mac poker list. One site will be released in the next 6 months and is expected to gain a large piece of the Mac poker market.

Some interesting ongoing polls have also been address for Mac users. The two polls running are trying to find out which Mac poker site is easiest to win money at and which site has the best bonus. Pacific Poker (www.MacPacificPoker.com) is leading both categories for Macintosh compatible poker rooms.

The ever popular instant cash bonus is the reason Pacific Poker is leading the bonus poll. Party Poker is closest to Pacific Poker in that poll. Party Poker releases their bonus at the quickest release time besides that of Pacific Poker which is instantly released at www.PacificPoker100.com.

Poker for Mac users has also been a contingency plan for other Windows based poker rooms. The need to seek out niche market shares is what’s driving the competitive poker market.

Onlookers and investors are still wary of possible poker bans. Some internet poker rooms could be reluctant to build expensive new Mac poker software because of impeding political issues regarding online gambling in the USA. The USA holds most of the Apple Macintosh market and a ban could lead to thousands of dollars in R&D for poker rooms wanting a poker room that has poker for Mac users. (www.CompatiblePoker.com).
