MyCitizenVoice.com has launched and is now available to the public. MyCitizenVoice.com is a place for Americans to voice their opinions about government or politicians on the federal, state, or local level.
This is about what American's think is important. Hopefully, if enough Americans stand together behind a certain issue, our elected officials will listen. I think that is what the founding fathers had envisioned when they established a representative democracy.

Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) April 14, 2008 -- MyCitizenVoice.com has launched and is now available to the public. MyCitizenVoice.com is a place for Americans to voice their opinions about government or politicians on the federal, state, or local level.

"United we stand or united we fall. As a people, we are united, whether we like it our not; however, we as Americans are not united, and a lot of times the opinions and beliefs of our elected officials differ even more than the opinions and beliefs of the American public," says Troy Hammond, President of MyCitizenVoice.com, which launched today. "Only one time in my life have I heard a politician say this: 'Normally, I don't get any letters from my constituents about an issue. In regards to this issue, I got three letters. So, I had to vote against my own beliefs and represented my constituents' beliefs because they elected me.' I think that our politicians should act more like that."

MyCitizenVoice.com provides a unique solution: it allows Americans to establish what is important to them and then stand behind their beliefs. The MyCitizenVoice.com users can voice their opinions about anything political, from opinions of the government in general to politicians in particular, whether local, state, or federal. To determine what is important, the opinions are voted upon by the MyCitizenVoice.com users. Those who do not post opinions can leave comments to try and influence other users.

Opinions are not restricted and any topic is allowed, from economic policy, to news, to the war. MyCitizenVoice.com does not have any political affiliation, tilt, or slant: MyCitizenVoice.com leaves that up to the American public. The website is an open forum and is now available to the public with absolutely free registration. Troy Hammond explains, "This is about what American's think is important. Hopefully, if enough Americans stand together behind a certain issue, our elected officials will listen. I think that is what the founding fathers had envisioned when they established a representative democracy."

"MyCitizenVoice.com gives Americans a way to voice their opinions, decide what's most important, and stand behind them. We aren't just promoting democracy, we are helping to facilitate it," says Troy Hammond. "Americans standing together, united in their beliefs, means we can have real change."
