Maseruka.com Helps Put New Inventions on Retail Store Shelves

Finding retail store shelf space for inventions is now easier than ever thanks to Maseruka.com, a patent-pending concept developed by Ottawa inventor Geoffrey Maseruka.

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (PRWeb) March 20, 2007 -- The recently launched Maseruka.com solves the biggest problem that new inventions face -- finding retail store shelf space.

The patent-pending concept, developed by Ottawa inventor Geoffrey Maseruka, helps product inventors acquire shelf space, marketing and distribution for their inventions.

Inventors have spent thousands of dollars on marketing and licensing agents and hundreds of hours visiting individual retail stores trying to secure shelf spaces, only to be rejected
“Inventors have spent thousands of dollars on marketing and licensing agents and hundreds of hours visiting individual retail stores trying to secure shelf spaces, only to be rejected,” Maseruka said. “Stores often do not want products that lack a proven record of covering the cost of shelf space and turning a profit. Maseruka.com solves that problem.”

Maseruka.com provides inventors and suppliers with a one stop destination for choosing a store, selecting the number of cubic feet required, paying for the shelf space and setting up product delivery. The site does not charge any fees to inventors, retail stores, distributors or consumers.

The stores cover their costs by requiring inventors to pay a fixed monthly fee per cubic foot of shelf space plus a percentage on sales. The system may also be used by flea markets and trade shows.

“Most inventors sell their inventions strictly online. This is not sufficient. Inventors should constantly display their products in retail stores, convenience stores, hardware stores and hair salons for the best exposure,” Maseruka said. “This is better than keeping stockpiles of unsold product in your basement or garage. The idea is to have an online presence and have products in dozens or even hundreds of small- or medium-sized stores at the same time. This way, inventors bypass costly marketing and distribution agencies.”

About Maseruka.com
Maseruka.com is a patent-pending concept that makes finding retail store shelf space easier and cheaper than ever. Geoffrey Maseruka launched www.maseruka.com in part due to his own experiences as an inventor, where the actual inventing turned out to be easier than the process of selling the product. He was faced with spending tens of thousands of dollars on traditional marketing and distribution campaigns for one of his own inventions, a toilet flushing apparatus. Maseruka.com provides inventors and suppliers with a one stop destination for choosing a store, selecting the number of cubic feet required, paying for the shelf space and setting up product delivery. The site does not charge any fees to inventors, retail stores, distributors or consumers.
