Chris will be instrumental in growing and enhancing SimpleTuitions partner channel as we continue to rapidly bring new partners on board, said Kevin Walker, president and CEO of SimpleTuition. His expertise and strong skills in marketing strategy business development make him a perfect fit with our management team. Moreover, Chris joins us at an important time for students and parents as they begin to evaluate loan options for the fall semester not to mention college graduates in the midst of figuring out the best options to pay back student loans.

Chris Stevens brings more than ten years of experience with web-based businesses to his role as SimpleTuitions vice president of business development. He joins SimpleTuition from Worldspan, where he was responsible for the global Worldspan-Expedia partnership. In this position he set strategic direction for the partnership and expanded program components and geography.

SimpleTuition fills a unique void in the student loan industry by striking the right commercial balance between borrower choice and lender distribution, said Stevens. I look forward to helping the company expand its partnerships with universities, lenders, and businesses to further its mission of providing a truly independent online student loan comparison resource for parents and students.

Stevens has also held senior business development roles at Cendants Trip Network, Engage, and LinkShare Corporation. At Cedant he managed advertising and merchandising sales across more than 15 major Cendant Corp brand sites reaching tens of millions of travelers per month. Before that he provided business development, analysis, strategy and marketing consulting to Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business E-Commerce companies while with LinkShare, InterWorld Corporation and at Aberdeen Group. He has a B.S. from Tulane University.
