Soft Launch of Sharea.com to Breathe Life into Social Networking, Media Sharing

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

The newly created social networking and media sharing online platform, www.sharea.com, allows people to search for photos, audios, videos and people, as well as set up and read media Blogs and more. Users can meet up with friends anywhere in the world and retain control over their own files and who can share them. It is now entering into its beta test phase.
The interface of the 'Sharea manager' was designed with user friendly 'drag-and-drop' technology, like most popular offline file managers

London, United Kingdom (PRWeb) December 13, 2006 -- An innovative social networking web site concept from Sharea Interactive Ltd. is set to bring a fresh approach in user-friendly, interactive media sharing communities to the web. As part of its soft launch, the company is inviting users to test this innovative interactive online community: www.sharea.com.

Sharea creates a user-friendly, PHP, AJAX, Flash-based online platform for people to store and share their media. It's a privacy-centric multimedia social networking service - and that means sharing just about any kind of media content, and retaining control over it.

Utilizing Web 2.0 technology, users of Sharea.com can search for photos, audios, videos and people, set up and read media Blogs - and much more. By joining Sharea.com they will enjoy the benefits of creative social interaction with file storage services, blogging, media sharing, tagging and ratings, all within one completely integrated site.

Sharea.com is the perfect tool for maintaining and enhancing social relationships, allowing the sharing of personal moments via files, Blogs and messaging. It also provides an ability to define and control the level of intimacy of those relationships. People can stay in touch with friends and acquaintances regardless of how far away they are.

Sharea Interactive Ltd. CEO, Jury Berhin, is enthusiastic about Sharea.com and its progression to the live testing stage, after many months of development.

"Sharea reflects the way people conduct relationships in their real lives, with controlled privacy through three levels of communication," Berhin said. "Its unique three-level access system allows users to choose who can access their content - at the 'Common' level every other Sharea user; at the 'Friendly' level those who are seen as friends; and ultimately your closest circle at the 'Privileged' level."

The new social networking site also allows users to organize their Blogs, media albums and "Abouts" (simple questionnaires about lifestyle and personality) by using a unique Flash module called a "Sharea manager." This media sharing manager simplifies the process of publishing, organizing and granting access to personal information.

"The interface of the 'Sharea manager' was designed with user friendly 'drag-and-drop' technology, like most popular offline file managers," Berhin added. "This is well-known even among 'newbies', and is revolutionary for community sites. This technology simplifies the user's activities and standardizes content of all types in their Sharea account."

Another Web 2.0 feature available through Sharea.com is its unique internal tag-based search engine that allows user to find a person, media or Blog by setting a great number of parameters, like age, location, tags, creation date or file type.

When users upload photos and multimedia files, they are automatically converted to streaming audio and video. The user then grants access to them according to his or her preferences. They can also create and control multiple media blogs with different access levels by using only one Sharea account. This provides a new level of personal control and capability in online media sharing.

Anyone with an interest in social networking or who wants to take part in the soft launch and testing of the Sharea Beta Web 2.0 model is encouraged to sign up at www.sharea.com. A specific 'Bugs Blog' zone has also been created to provide developers with feedback on the media sharing site.
