Starting Over Fans Outraged Show is Not Returning for a Fourth Season

Starting Over Fans continue to try to save the show even after the network and production company are unresponsive.

(PRWEB) September 7, 2006 -- Over the past three seasons the daytime reality show Starting Over grew a base of devoted fans. The show touched the lives of those on the show and those who watched the show. Many fans report that they were able to improve the quality of their lives as a result of watching Starting Over.

Devoted fans learned last winter that the show may not be returning and began taking steps to bring the show back for a fourth season. Members of online Starting Over Communities like www.startingovertalk.com got together and began letter writing campaigns and making phone calls. NBC was so flooded with phone calls that they set up a special viewer line just for Starting Over.

NBC never officially canceled Starting Over but devoted fans learned from checking TV listings that the show was not returning this fall. According to star of the show, Rhonda Britten, she was never officially told the show had been canceled either. She just did not receive a call from NBC or the production company Bunim-Murray asking her to return. This left many fans confused and upset about not knowing the fate of their favorite show.

Fans of Starting Over have been unsuccessfully calling the special Starting Over viewer line for several weeks. The voice mail has been full since the middle of the summer and fans are not able to have their voices heard about Starting Over.

Members of www.startingovertalk.com and other online Starting Over Communities will continue to meet and discuss the show and how it impacted their lives. They are also planning to continue contacting NBC and hope that other fans will do the same. Starting Over Talk urges fans to keep contacting NBC to show support of Starting Over and demand the show be brought back for another season.
