A Star Studded Night Sky is the Latest Pixel Site Innovation Taking Off Online

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

A stellar night sky takes shape with links to the most stellar sites out there.

(PRWEB) August 30, 2006 -- Stellar night has further refined their charity pixel site (http://stellarnight.com) with a more targeted approach to their online promotion. The site now has a new selection process. Companies and organisations are either invited to purchase stars or can make a simple application through the stellarnight.com website. The idea is to build a homepage that promotes some of the best web sites out there.

You don't have to be the biggest or the best though. You can be a respected major player or a struggling individual on a wing and prayer. We ask applicants what is 'stellar' about their website and if we agree with their assessment we will invite them to join the night sky.
The updated stellar night mission statement reflects their new emphasis. Visit http://stellarnight.com to check it out.

"Since pixel advertising has got off the ground, many sites have been amateurish and unselective. When these sites sell space to anyone who will buy them, how credible can their homepages be? Who is interested in a page of random ads you can't trust? We review any sites that apply and only accept sites that we believe in. We also consider the sites we are promoting and so will not want to have too many sites in the same category" says Jonathan Beamish of Shine Media.

"Our aim is to build a stunning homepage of useful and interesting 'stellar' links that people will be interested by and want to revisit. Stellar night is not a homepage of haphazard, unreliable advertising like many pixel sites. Because we are promoting 'stellar' sites and have a charity dimension, we need to be selective about the sites we promote," Beamish says.

He continues, "You don't have to be the biggest or the best though. You can be a respected major player or a struggling individual on a wing and prayer. We ask applicants what is 'stellar' about their website and if we agree with their assessment we will invite them to join the night sky."

Turning down most of the sites that apply isn't easy for a new company but building a strong and credible pixel site homepage is paramount if they want stand out in the infinite darkness of cyberspace. If visit numbers are anything to go buy this rising star is not going to be a lonely planet.
