Utilities, Inc. (UI), a national water and wastewater service corporation, today activated an integrated financial and asset management system using Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise One software. The new financial system is part of an almost 2 year, multi-million dollar project, implemented with the assistance of Deloitte Consulting, to completely transform UI's IT infrastructure, financial systems, customer care systems and business processes. This transformation will culminate in the implementation of new customer service and billing operations in the spring of 2008, utilizing Oracle's Customer Care and Billing System. "Together, the two new systems represent the largest capital project in UI history and are expected to significantly improve UI's service to its customers and financial reporting capabilities." said Steve Lubertozzi, Chief Financial Officer.
