It was reported in the September issue of Inc. Magazine, per the current expanded top 5000 list, the largest such list published by the magazine to date, these companies combined to produce $194 billion in 2006 revenues, which constituted about 1.5 percent of the national gross domestic product. In addition, they accounted for about 0.6 percent of the jobs in the U.S. which meant jobs to more than 900,000 employees.
