"This vessel will put our dive teams on site for an extended period of time and speed up operations immensely", said Greg Brooks, Co-Manager of the company. "The ship has room for a full spectrum of professionals such as videographers, archaeologists, as well as the press".

Using the latest underwater locating equipment and "proprietary technology", the company has located several new sites recently, both in shallow water coastal areas and deeper offshore waters.

"Over the past several years our researchers have amassed a database of roughly 150,000 shipwrecks worldwide. We believe we have the most comprehensive list of shipwrecks in the world today", said Greg Brooks. "With this list in hand, and combined with the advanced technology available to us today, we are aiming for a few "special targets" and are about to start preliminary operations on them".

The ship, M/V Son Worshipper, will arrive in Portland harbor later this week. An open house of the ship and its equipment is planned to inform the public how operations are carried out. "There is a huge public interest surrounding shipwreck research and salvage", said Greg Brooks, "The lure of sunken treasure is in all of us, we just go the extra steps and go find it!".

Sub Sea Research is dedicated to The Exploration, Discovery and Scientific recovery of Maritime History worldwide.

By combining the best available technology with a select group of skilled teams, we can enhance global knowledge and public awareness by offering access to our oceans' frontiers, and sharing discoveries that would otherwise remain at risk - undiscovered, un-recovered and unknown.
Our company stands as one of the pioneers actively supporting the cooperation and creation of partnerships between public and private interests to promote and enhance Marine History & Scientific Discoveries Worldwide.
