JavaOne Conference Schedule and Java University Tracks Unveiled: 200 Technical Sessions, 117 BOFs and 17 Hands-On-Labs for 2008 Event

Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:JAVA), today announced that out of nearly 1,700 submissions, approximately 350 sessions have been accepted for the 2008 JavaOne(SM) conference. Details on all the Technical and Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are now available at: http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf/sessions.jsp.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Business Wire EON) February 13, 2008 -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:JAVA), today announced that out of nearly 1,700 submissions, approximately 350 sessions have been accepted for the 2008 JavaOne(SM) conference. Details on all the Technical and Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are now available at: http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf/sessions.jsp.

The Network Is The Computer
JavaOne conference sessions are determined by a panel of Sun employees, along with 35 external reviewers who participate in the selection process. This is the second year external reviewers participated in the content selection process for the JavaOne conference. Based on positive feedback from attendees and potential reviewers, Sun continues to refine the selection process and plans to grow the number of external reviewers for future events.

Java University(SM) Program

The Java University program is returning as part of the 2008 JavaOne conference and will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008. Only Conference Plus Pass and Java University Program Pass holders can participate in these sessions and all courses are created and delivered by Sun certified instructors. The Java University program will once again begin with a general session and then attendees have the option of taking one full-day course or a selection of two half-day courses.
