Shomi Technologies Unveils Capability to Resolve Images in Shadows and Dark Zones

Patented "Additive Light" and "Flashlight" Technologies, combined with 7 other Video Improvement Capabilities provide unprecedented resolution of Dark Zone & Shadow details.
This is something that could revolutionize the surveillance industry.

Denton, TX (PRWEB) September 5, 2008 -- Hiding in the shadows is no longer an option with Shomi Technologies' release of the Surveillance Video Improvement Processor, the next generation in video surveillance equipment. This new technology addresses more than just night vision; it resolves the issue of seeing details in shadows and dark areas during broad daylight as well.

The processor works by resolving and correcting 9 significant areas of the video signal, improving the quality in each, all in real time.

Although the processor offers many features, such as improved video quality, the most cutting edge aspect of the Surveillance Video Improvement Processor is its ability to clarify details in areas that would typically be hidden by shadows. The two main processes that make this possible are 'Additive Light', which can be applied to lighten the entire video, and 'Flash Light', which adjusts dark areas only.

"This is something that could revolutionize the surveillance industry." said Mark Ford, VP of Operations for Shomi Technologies. "No one else has successfully addressed the issues which the Surveillance Video Improvement Processor solves. It is now possible to literally see what is in the shadows, whether it is night or day. Our processor will improve quality, clarity, and visibility--all in real time," said Ford.

The technology was demonstrated live at the Airborne Law Enforcement Show in June and was met with overwhelming support. Another demonstration is scheduled at the ASIS International Convention in Atlanta September 15-18.

Shomi Technologies offers its Surveillance Video Improvement Processor for licensing, custom integration or private label.

Shomi Technologies Corporation operates via entrepreneurial spirit, technological-based understanding, and established leadership qualities with a focus on developing remarkable innovations with guaranteed results.
