The idea for the team-site centric concept was inspired by one of Chundury's friends, who found managing the year-round softball and swimming schedules of three daughters frustrating.

Vikaza features a custom-built component to automatically consolidate the entire family's sports schedule in one calendar to simplify time management for active families.

Since its beta launch in August 2007, hundreds of youth sports coaches have used it to build their team Web sites.
