Introducing CoolZips™, A Zipper Pull and Charm to Put Cool In Your Zip, a Cool Gift Idea for Kids and Adults

A creative zipper pull attachment that hangs from jackets, backpacks, sleeping bags, duffle bags, or anywhere one has a zipper or wants a cool charm has just been introduced by a new company called CoolZips™. They also hook onto many favorite toys, including the popular Webkinz pet collars.

West Bloomfield, Michigan (PRWeb) May, 1 2007 – A quirky gift idea in the form of a wearable zipper pull and charm has just been introduced by CoolZips™, a company that has also launched a new fund raising program to benefit non-profits and other charitable organizations.

After watching a story on the CBS Early Show on school fund raising, I can completely understand how frustrated parents get with school and community fundraising. It’s costly and time consuming. This is why CoolZips has a cost free and hassle free program for fund raising.
CoolZips™ are creative zipper pulls that hang from jackets, backpacks, duffle bags, or anywhere one has a zipper or wants a cool charm, say its creators. They can also hook onto many popular toys, including Webkinz pet collars.

Company founders Lauren, Rick, and Hannah Altman knew it was time for a change and a creative outlet was just what they needed. The family created the company together and Hannah, age 6, came up with the company name as well as helped them come up with the gift idea.

There are currently 48 styles of CoolZips available for all ages of kids and adults. Styles include: Peace, Love, Sports, Skull and Crossbones, Camp, Dogs and Cats, and many others to choose from. Sales are made through the company website at www.CoolZips.com. Rick Altman notes, “CoolZips retail starting at $3.99 and are being sold on our website throughout the U.S. and we have had inquiries from Australia, Canada, South Africa, and Romania. They make a great gift idea.”

“CoolZips is looking to secure a relationship with a retailer to carry their line, such as a Lands End, REI, L.L.Bean or Target style company,” adds Lauren. “CoolZips are an ideal accessory for backpacks, fleece, jackets, etc. It would certainly be a winning combination for us to pair up with a company looking for a kid friendly item to market with their products. As proven with Jibbitz for Croc Shoes, kids love to creatively express themselves. CoolZips and summer camp and back to school gear are a great combination.”

In addition, CoolZips has a fund raising program to benefit non-profits, schools, sports teams, religious and community groups, and other charitable organizations. After serving as an Executive Director for a non profit organization for five years, and a mother of an elementary school student, Lauren has a sound understanding of how difficult it is for charities to find new ideas for fund raising. Groups are searching for ideas that are basically cost free to the charity and fresh and easy ideas for schools. Lauren explains, “After watching a story on the CBS Early Show on school fund raising, I can completely understand how frustrated parents get with school and community fundraising. It’s costly and time consuming. This is why CoolZips has a cost free and hassle free program for fund raising.” The organization simply notifies its donors, students, group members, and surrounding community to purchase CoolZips on the company website and 25 percent of the sale will be donated to the organization. There are no out of pocket costs, no door to door sales, no deliveries or bookkeeping to coordinate. It’s that simple!
