ZsDuplicateHunter 2.30 includes several new enhancements and including a new Enterprise edition designed for network administrators.
ZsDuplicateHunter allows you to find and clean up duplicate files, including music files, image files, text files, and binary files. You can search for duplicates in a single folder, an entire computer, or across a network.
ZsDuplicateHunter provides powerful search filters to meet a wide range of needs. You can perform name-only searches, or you can search and group duplicates based on size, checksums, and digests. With the release of version 2.30, zsDuplicateHunter now provides additional control over how the duplicate hunt is performed with predefined sets of duplicate hunt options to let you quickly switch settings to the optimal set of options for any situation. Version 2.30 also adds the ability to perform a binary check of files to guarantee that any files which are marked as duplicates do indeed have identical clients.
After zsDuplicateHunter finds the duplicate files for you, you can remove them from your computer using seven different deletion methods (4 in the Standard edition). The new Enterprise edition adds the ability to replace files with links when deleting files. This is especially useful for network administrators trying to manage files for multiple users as your users can still access the files from the normal locations.
Version 2.30 also adds a new report. The report is a CSV file designed to allow system administrators and network administrators easily work with the results. The file can be easily imported into Excel or other programs to generate custom reports for users.
The Enterprise Edition also allows you to create and run scripts to automate zsDuplicateHunter allowing you to automatically run duplicate hunts and save results.
ZsDuplicateHunter 2.30 runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux machines. It is available in three editions: Enterprise ($99.95), Professional ($39.95), and Standard ($19.95).
The Standard edition contains the most commonly used features required to remove duplicate files from your computer.
The Professional edition contains additional methods of grouping duplicate files and is intended for more experienced users who want additional control of the duplicate file hunt process. With seven different methods of deleting duplicate files (as opposed to four in the Standard edition), there is always an easy method of deleting the duplicate files you want removed.
The Enterprise edition adds the ability to replace files with links when a file is deleted. It also adds the ability to create scripts within zsDuplicateHunter to automate the duplicate hunting process.
